Thoughts of starting a home business and working from home have entered the heart and mind of many a man, woman, and teenager at one time or another. For some of us, it starts at a very early age and continues throughout adult life.

I started my first home based business as a 12 year old girl. I raised gerbils in my parent's basement and sold them (the rodents that is!) to a local pet shop for pocket money. From there, I had several off-line retail stores over the years until I was introduced to online opportunities a few years ago.

Most of us dream of the financial independence, freedom, and adventure that starting a home business affords. It appeals to many who want the flexibility to spend more time with family, pursue hobbies, travel, or serve in their local church and community.

Where to Start?

All of these are genuine desires and quite attainable but where does one start? Fortunately, there are endless choices available to the budding Christian entrepreneur that weren't available a few years ago.

With the onset of the internet, worlds of possibilities have opened up that make starting a home business much easier and more affordable to the average person.

Business Idea Brainstorming

Deciding on what type of home business best fits your interests and personality as well as your circumstances and pocket book is the place to start. Don't limit your thinking to starting up a home based barber shop in your garage or starting a home bookkeeping service in your spare bedroom! Take the time to do a little business idea brainstorming.

Profession not a Hobby

It might take awhile to decide upon what you want. There are no easy shortcuts to profits and success no matter what type of home business you start up. It will take commitment, determination, and a lot of hard work to reach your goals. Do not choose to start a home business expecting to get rich quick. It is unrealistic and you'll be bitterly disappointed. Treat your home business as a profession or career choice, not a hobby, and you'll be happily satisfied with the results.

Christian Business

If you are eager to get started in business ASAP and are not interested in starting your own business from scratch, consider this Christian Based Business. It's an online opportunity that Roger and I highly recommend. It might be the "perfect fit" for you.
