Prayer Promises
Emotions Destroy Intelligence I learned through trial and error to make decisions based on Bible promises, and not to trust my own emotions. Experience is a great teacher but it knocks you around a bit. Sometimes I learned the hard way that, "emotions destroy intelligence..." A phrase someone quoted to me and how true it is! The safest way to make a decision in your spiritual walk (especially if you are prone to fears, anxieties, anger, or any other negative emotion) is to turn to Bible promises; then make your decision. Here I share some of my favourite Prayer Promises "Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you. Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name; ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full." John 16:23,24 "Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." James 5:16 "Thou shalt make thy prayer unto him, and he shall hear thee..." Job 22:27 "And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it." John 14:13,14 "But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou has shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly."
