I realize that "know your why" is pretty cliche terminology and you might be thinking "ho hum....blah blah blah" been there done that.
But...be still and listen for a minute please; Especially if you need a little shove to get out of "slump mode." Zig Ziglar once said, "People often tell me that motivation doesn't last, and I tell them bathing doesn't either, that's why I recommend it daily!" So maybe this message I'm writing is just what you need at this very moment. After all...I did pray that God would help me write something that would help someone today. Maybe that person is you.
I invite you to take some time right now or this evening and think about (preferably write out) the reasons why you wanted to start a home business in the first place and whether those goals still fit for you today. You must know your why for starting and continuing your home based business in order to have the motivation to keep going.
Sometimes we get in a muddy rut and spin our wheels not getting any where and not knowing why. Ever feel like a little hamster running and running on a tread mill inside a cage? Do you stop once in awhile to eat and sleep but the next day you're at it again... spinning away? There's lots of activity and I'm sure you're pretty busy but are you seeing any results?
Maybe it's time for a change. It's time to make new goals and let others fade away. Time to re-evaluate and know your why so you can move forward with enthusiasm and confidence once again.
If you're like me, many of my short term and even long term goals change from time to time as my relationship with the Lord grows closer. The more willing I am to yield to Him, the more clearly I see the path he wants me to tread. He puts my priorities in proper order the more trusting I become.
I feel it is important to take time out on a regular basis in order to take a fresh look at the "Why" for building our home based business. Maybe our "Why" needs a little overhauling or perhaps just a re-commitment. No one ever got anywhere with vague wishes and hopes twirling in their head. Action is necessary. It's the only way to progress.
Unless commitment is made, there are only promises and hopes; but no plans. Peter F. Drucker
Write down what you want. See and "know your why" on paper. What are your home business goals ?"
