God Changed My Name

My Father and my mother named me a name which is called Lukooya Godfrey.

After I was given this name, I found more problems in my future. When I starting to grow up the problems attacked me.

This name Lukooya, is a clan name. The man who has this name is my grandfather. He died before my father married my mother.

The problem is this; Every child in this clan who are named my grandfather's name must not eat meat. Whether you you want to or not. We are four in this family who are not allowed to eat meat. We are told that if we eat meat that immediately we will start to feel pain inside the stomach and will need to go to the Hospital.

But my friend, Jesus Christ, my Savior, found me in this problem. He gave me a new life after I believed in Him.

I joined a born again church and started to trust Jesus in everything. On one day, I asked my father a question. "Why every child in this family is named this name Lukooya and cannot eat meat?" My father answered me this way, "Your grandfather is the owner of this name. The men before could not eat meat from a child up or they would die. Every person named this name must not eat meat but follow your grandfather's principles."

At that time, I started to pray to God that he would help me to change this name.

I wanted him to show me another name. God heard my prayer and showed me another name through a dream. He said, from this year I name you another name. You are called BYAMAGELO. This name in English means MIRACLES. In the dream, I was told to go and tell all people; friends, and others, that God changed my name.

"Tell them the new name that I have given you and that from now on you can start to eat meat if you want to. Don't fear. I am your God and I can speak to you."

My friend, when you trust God, you must see every thing is possible. I woke up in the morning and started to do what God told me in the dream to tell the people. I started to eat meat and up to now I am still eating meat through belief in God and trusting Him in Jesus name.

My three brothers also were named Lukooya. They haven't believed Jesus up to now and are not eating meat. But I thank almighty God that he saved me from that problem.

In the Bible, in Matthew 11:28, it says that,
"Come unto me, all ye who labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." When I believe Jesus to be my commander, I can rest in his promise.

I speak to those who do not believe Jesus. My friend, this is the time to believe Him in your heart. There is no other way. Only the son of God, who is called Jesus, is the way. Because in the book of John 14:6 it says, "I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

So the only way is Jesus. Only the truth is called Jesus. Only the life is Jesus. I want you to trust Him. Jesus said in another chapter of John 1:12, that; "But as many as received Him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name."
