Drunk in Alcohol and Believing Witchcraft

Hi Linda Pepin,

I greet you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

I thank God who loved me and sent his only Son to save me from the darkness to the light.

I was saved in 2007; At that time, in the Village where I live, there weren't any born again Churches around this Village which is called BUTE Village.

But I thank God for speaking to Pastor Godfrey Gaali Byamagelo about coming to our village to open a church in this area.

At that time, I was walking drunk in alcohol and trusting in witchcraft.

After Pastor Godrey opened this Church, he came in my home to preach to me the good news from God. I welcomed him in my house. He entered, sat in my house, and asked me this question, "My friend, did you know that you're the Son of God?"

"Do you know that Jesus died for you and did you know that Jesus loves you?"

I answered him, "YES."

So he asked me, "Why are you drunk? Why do you trust in witchcraft?"

"God sent me here to tell you the good news; God is the healer, is a Savior man, He has eternal life for you. He sent His only begotten Son to save you.(John 3 ; 16) Answer me, Do you believe it that?"

So I listened to the words in my heart. At that time I was pricked by the words in my heart. I started to believe the words that Pastor Godfrey spoke to me. In that hour, I believed Jesus and welcomed Him in my soul and in my family to be the King in my life.

Pastor Godfrey prayed for me in that hour and welcomed me in the church. I joined the church and became a member. Pastor Godfrey Gaali Byamagelo is my senior pastor.

We're so happy to see pastor Godfrey's testimony on your website. Thank you for adding him. The church members and I are very happy about that.

Hi Sister Kitabona Ruth,

Thank you for contributing your salvation testimony for our website visitors to read.

We love to hear how God is working in other people's lives. We are thankful to have made some Christian friends in Africa.

I am so very happy that Jesus saved you from your life of alcohol abuse and belief in witchcraft. I too used to drink alcohol and Jesus delivered me as well. I also used to (innocently) dabble in Eastern religious beliefs such as transcendental meditation, dream interpretation, levitation, and all that nonsense until I learned the TRUTH.

I was very fortunate to have had my last drink October 19th, 1979 and never had a drop of alcohol since.

I love to help others who have drinking problems and want to change their life. God has used me many times to bring the gospel to people caught up in addictions.

Jesus not only sets us free of addictions but gives us the hope of living with him in eternity some day saved from the punishment of spending
forever in Hell (which is what we really deserve.)

Thank God that your Pastor was willing to be used by God to deliver the message of Jesus Christ to you the day that he came to your home.
