Diligence in Business
Definition of Diligence I love the word diligence. It's a strong, powerful, word suggesting excellence of character. The Webster dictionary defines it as persevering application. Several synonyms mentioned are:
95% Are not Successful Diligence in business invariably leads to success but did you know that 95% of online marketers fail? That is a grim statistic. Sadly, thousands of entrepreneurs start home based businesses hoping to be among the 5% who make it. Unfortunately, most don't realistically perceive the unreserved commitment it demands to arrive at the desired outcome. When tasks get laborious and money doesn't materialize quickly, the greater number quit. Success Requires Work Don't get fooled by get rich quick schemes and jump into business ventures on the whim expecting over night riches without effort. "Faith without works is dead." This is especially true if you are new to network marketing. Expect a huge learning curve ahead and be prepared to make a life time commitment to personal development, building long term relationships, and educating yourself in whatever business you undertake. We are meant to work. We are to serve others; to labour in love....not live on easy street. Many people die shortly after retirement because they stopped working. Even the first man God created was expected to work. God gave Adam work to do. He was given the job of tending to the garden of Eden and he was to name all the animals, insects, birds, and plants. He even named his wife! Those were daunting duties assigned him. It required tremendous diligence to complete the tasks entrusted to him. He took his job from God seriously and put time and effort into the business at hand. Just imagine how many different names he would have to come up with. He had to work very hard for his food. He didn't just pluck a piece of fruit from a tree after a long snooze in the shade on a sunny day. He worked physically and mentally for his keep. God Is Our Employer God was Adam's employer and God is our employer also. We are working for the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. We need to do our very best to serve Him with all of our heart, soul and mind. The Bible says, "Whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ" (Colossians 3:23-24) Tackle your home business duties with a concentrated and earnest endeavor. Focus mentally and spiritually on the goals you set with God's help and exert yourself; Daily trusting the Lord as your source of income and your business simply a channel. God will provide the strength and power you need to diligently carry out his orders. "But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day." Deuteronomy 8:18 Move Forward with Diligence Keep taking forward steps no matter how difficult it might be to keep going. It is human nature to give up and take the easier softer way but winners are not made that way. The Bible says, "Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might." God promises rewards for his diligent servants. "See thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men." (Proverbs 22:29) "The hand of the diligent shall bear rule" (Proverbs 12:24) "The hand of the diligent maketh rich" (Proverbs 10:4) Doesn't that sound like a pretty good pay check?
