I'm not ashamed to admit that I've run out of steam many times. I've cried my share of tears waiting upon answers that seem to fall on deaf ears. I've been at many a crossroad wondering just which way I'm to turn or what to do next. I've often wondered if I was off on my own bunny trail working in my own power or really doing God's will.

I'm sure many of you...like me...have struggled; trying to figure out what God's will is for your life. After all, none of us wants to waste our time doing things that have no value to others or simply won't matter in eternity. The Bible says in Isaiah 55:2, "Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness."

This is probably old hat to most of you but I'm going to share it any "hoo" for the sake of networking newbies.

While doing google searches on small business websites, I've come across website after website that indicate that the owners do not know how to use keyword selection and website optimization properly.

If you want search engines to pick up your website content, blog, or articles, then make sure that engines know what the main theme of your web site or webpage is about.

For example: If the overall theme of your site or blog is about "farm critters" and you're writing a webpage or blog post about "chickens", your content needs to focus primarily on "chickens". When you write your page, use keywords such as, "chickens" "which came first, the chicken or the egg?", "baby chicks", raising chickens, "feeding chickens," "chicks and hens," etc. Whatever you do, don't wander off topic and start talking about cars and boats.

When someone types in "chicken" in a search bar, you want the engines to bring up your site as the closest possible match for that visitor's search term and hopefully on the first page of google or yahoo. (which ever search engine they were using) at the time. That will only happen if you've matched your keywords as closely as possible to the actual content of your webpage or post and tied it into the main theme of your site which is "farm critters."

There is more to SEO of course, but that is the basic jest of it.
