| Hi For all links within the newsletter, you need to be connected to the internet.
Home Biz Tid Bits E-zine Issue #004 Home Business Prayers I had several topics in mind for this issue but the Lord led me to write about "Business Prayers". Please feel free to respond to this e-zine if you have any comments or suggestions.
1. Business Prayers 1. Business Prayers
Have you ever wondered what you should be praying about when it comes to your home based business? I think Christians struggle with money and business prayers because we have been taught that desiring money is bad.
Expecting money in return for service is not wrong. God knows you need money for your daily necessities. Business income is no different than getting a pay check from a outside job when you've worked all week for your boss. The problem lies when Christian entrepreneurs ask and pray for money before they ask for their "to do list" from God. Employees know what to do each day because their employer gives them instructions but many Christians don't listen to God and therefore don't do what He wants them to do in their home based business. Wouldn't it be odd to go to your boss each day and ask for your pay check before you've worked for him?
2. Scripture Verses On Work A lot of people who get into network marketing or their own home based business expect over night riches without the work. That's one of the reasons online opportunities have received a poor name over the years. Christians especially get into trouble because they pray and expect God to bring them success without the work. Take the "labour" Bible verses below to heart and memorize them. Quote them to yourself on the days that you're tempted to ask something for nothing. "Wealth gotten by vanity shall be diminished: but he that gathereth by labour shall increase." Proverbs 10:16 "In all labour there is profit: but the talk of the lips tendeth only to penury." Proverbs 14:23 "The desire of the slothful killeth him; for his hands refuse to labour." Proverbs 21:25 "Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour."1 Corinthians 3:8
3. Prayer and Flexibility One of the most important things to do when praying for instructions from God is to be open minded to His will. You should never tell God what you are going to do and then pray for the strength or courage to do it. No....you need to inquire of Him and ask for His will, not yours. You need to be flexible all day long and be open to the Holy Spirit's leading. That's not to say that you shouldn't have a list of things to do or goals to accomplish for that day. It simply means you need to be sensitive enough to God that you are open to His changing the direction at any time without murmuring or complaining. If you start out your day surrendered to Him and willing to be placed in the best understanding of His will for you for that day, then you can be assured that whatever comes your way, is from God and you'll be able to yield to the changes with flexibility and pliancy without getting frustrated and bent out of shape. 4. Prayer Journal Writing your prayers and instructions from God in a journal is an encouraging way to keep track of how God is working in your life. I often look back on things I've written years ago and I'm amazed at some of the things I've written down. I laugh at some of the crazy things I worried and prayed about and I also see how the Holy Spirit guided and instructed me. I love writing my thoughts and prayers down on paper. God wrote to us in the Bible so I think He likes it when I write back to Him.
5. Prayer Quotes for "His" Will And Not Our Own The value of consistent prayer is not that He will hear us, but that we will hear Him. ~William McGill Some stand on tiptoe trying to reach God to talk to him - you try too hard, friend - drop to your knees and listen to him, he'll hear you better that way. ~Ever Garrison What we usually pray to God is not that His will be done, but that He approve ours. ~Helga Bergold Gross Before we can pray, "Lord, Thy Kingdom come," we must be willing to pray, "My Kingdom go." ~Alan Redpath That's all for now friends. These newsletters are written for you in mind. My prayer is that they bless and encourage you. If you have any suggestions or would like me to write about something in particular to meet your need for next month's e-zine, please feel free to let me know by responding to this email. Keep praying but be sure to learn the important lesson of listening. Follow the Lords' instructions and don't be afraid of the hard work he assigns to build your home based business. 11 Thessalonians 3:10 says, "For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat." Lift someones' spirits today. Forward this e-zine to a friend. Next issue: March 3rd, 2009
