Gods Promises

Most of us have made New Years' Resolutions year after year. We were hopeful that "this time" we would be successful. But failure or relapse plagued us time and again. Defeat followed us into the next year. Again we'd try to overcome obstacles without truly relying on Gods promises. Not for a moment did we consider that our self reliance might be at the root of our downfall.

Take your eyes off past failure and present undesirable circumstances and mark this year the turning point in your Christian goal setting? Set your focus on Jesus. Say to Him right now, "God...I will depend on your promises (and not myself) in 2009 for the accomplishment of my goals and I will give you the honour and glory for the victory. Amen."

What to Do Next.

Now take a sheet of 8 1/2" x 11" piece of paper and write the goal God has given you across the top of it. Do this for each goal you hope to fulfill. Fold your paper in 1/2 lengthwise or draw a line through the middle so you now have 2 long columns.

On the left hand column, write down a negative or doubtful thought about achieving your goal. (These thoughts come from Satan) On the right side column, write down a positive thought and Gods promises from the Bible about your goal. (These of course come from God).

On the back of the sheet write down the steps that God gives you to accomplish your goal. Pray for ideas and direction before you write. Believe that he is guiding you. "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." Proverbs 3: 5,6

Rub Scripture in Satan's Face.

The devil doesn't have any power against Gods promises so rub scripture in his face each and every time he attacks you with negative thoughts and unbelief. Keep your piece of paper close by where you can read it often. Add to it as you feel the need and continuously thank God for his Bible promises. They were NOT written in vain. They are miracle promises for you to claim. I think too many of us underestimate the power that Bible verses really have.

The devil doesn't want you believing you are forgiven. He wants you depressed and hopeless. So, if you fall short on any particular day, simply ask for forgiveness and start again. If he continues to remind you of your past, keeping you powerless, remind him of his future! "And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever." Rev. 20:10

Call Satan a Liar!

Don't listen to the devil's voice. Ask God to remove Satan's negative seed planting from your heart and mind. Call him a liar. John 8:44 says, "Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it."

Jesus has already defeated Satan so there is no excuse for not believing in Gods promises for miracles in accomplishing your home business goals in 2009.
