Christian Finances
Christian finances is a subject that isn't preached often enough from the pulpit.
Once in awhile you might hear a Preacher reminding his congregation to tithe or encouraging them to contribute to a special fund. On occasion, I've heard a Pastor teach on faith promise giving. But in over 20 years of attending church, I only heard one practical message on how a Christian ought to handle his finances according to the Bible. That one message I applied to my circumstances as a single mom and went from depending on government assistance to depending on God to supply all my needs. I went back to school, learned some computer and business skills, worked my way to better paying jobs, bought my own home, purchased a car, paid for my daughter's education in a private Christian school, and paid off all of my debts. I was financially better off than many of the men in our local church. Not because I made more money but because I learned how to be a good steward of the money God gave me.
